Join us this fall in one of our two exciting programs designed to enhance and nurture performance and musical theatre skills for youth of all ages.

 

Join us this fall for our 4 The Stage! Musical Theatre Intensive programs, where participants will learn in a fun and supportive environment guided by our enthusiastic Today 4U team. Our programs feature a range of activities, including improv exercises, vocal technique, acting skills, dance, and movement studies.

 

4 The Stage! will culminate in a showcase performance at the end of the term.

There are two sections to our intensive programs:

Centre Stage

A Musical Theatre Performance Program for ages 7+

Centre Stage is designed for individuals who want to

develop their performance skills. Participants engage in choreographed musical theatre numbers, learn harmony and vocal techniques, and build self-confidence and expression—all without the need for an audition.

  • Age Group: 7+

  • Program Details: Our Centre Stage program welcomes individuals aged 7-20 interested in developing their performance skills. Participants will engage in choreographed group musical theatre numbers, learn harmony and vocal techniques, and focus on

  • building self-confidence and expression. No audition is required.

  • Schedule: Monday evenings from 5:30pm - 7:30pm, starting Monday, September 9th, 2024.

  • Showcase Performance: Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at Guelph Little Theatre.

  • Enrolment Fee: $199 + HST

Spotlight

A Musical Theatre Intensive Program for ages 13+

Spotlight is an audition-based, intensive musical theatre course for individuals aged 13 and above, providing personalized guidance, collaboration, and a showcase performance opportunity.

  • Age Group: 13+

  • Program Details: Our Spotlight program is an audition-based   program with a limited number of spots. In this intensive course, individuals will learn musical theatre solos, monologues, scenes,  duets, and trios. Participants will work closely with the Today 4U    team, receiving personalized guidance to refine their performance skills while collaborating with like-minded peers in an ensemble setting.

  • Schedule: Monday evenings from 7:30pm - 9:45pm, starting Monday, September 9, 2024.

  • Showcase Performance: Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at Guelph Little Theatre.

  • Enrolment Fee: $249 + HST

    • Video Audition Requirements:

      • A one-minute statement explaining why you want to join Today 4U’s Spotlight intensive program and what skills you personally want to work on throughout the term.

      • A musical theatre solo, under two minutes, that demonstrates your vocal strengths, musicality, and characterization.

    • Auditions must be submitted to today4uproductions@gmail.com by Friday, August 23, 2024. Those that are selected for the program will be notified by Friday, August 30, 2024.

    • Those not selected for the Spotlight program are guaranteed a spot in our Centre Stage program.
